Bedrock Detroit
Bedrock is a full-service commercial real estate firm based in downtown Detroit specializing in the strategic redevelopment of midwestern urban cores. I had the amazing opportunity to intern there the summer of 2020 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The images below are just brief snippets of some of the projects and campaigns I had the opportunity to work on.
The Shark Tank Intern Project at Bedrock is designed to have teams come up an innovative idea for Bedrock's 'Next Big Thing.' After continued discussion with various departments within the organization, we decided to implement a campaign for the potential development of an unused lot in downtown Detroit, Frederick Douglass Park.
Primarily, we wanted to attract young adults on the cusp of starting a family to find potential benefits of staying in the downtown area rather than relocating to the suburbs, so targeting this multi-use park to adults and post-grad students looking to further their career and begin their 'settled down' lifestyle was the most effective in highlighting the lifestyle and monetary benefits that Frederick Douglass park would bring to both the city and these varying individuals.
Through background research and survey analysis, our team determined these specific marketing tactics to attract our target audience(s) would be the most effective way to increase interest and engagement with Frederick Douglass Park.
